Six core programs delivering scholarships, relief, healthcare, and cultural connection โ locally in Southern NJ and across Cameroon.
Making a Difference
CCASNJ fosters development projects that promote cultural, educational, social, and economic growth in both the United States and Cameroon. Every program is funded by member dues and donations from supporters who believe in our mission. Contributions are 100% tax-deductible (EIN 27-0763564).
CCASNJ provides scholarships to high school and college students to ensure that financial constraints do not stand in the way of academic achievement. Our scholarship recipients are selected based on need and demonstrated commitment to their community.
We believe that education is the most powerful tool for transforming lives โ both for individual recipients and for the communities they will go on to serve. Scholarship funds are sourced directly from fundraising events and donor contributions.
Empowering the next generation through access to quality education.
Providing hope, food, and basic needs to displaced persons affected by the Anglophone crisis.
CCASNJ provides food and basic necessities to refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) who are victims of the ongoing Anglophone crisis in Cameroon. The ongoing armed conflict that broke out in 2017 in Southern Cameroon has caused many to flee to neighboring Nigeria and other parts of Cameroon. We provide food, water, and basic needs to help them survive and rebuild their lives.
We also support refugee children โ giving them hope and educational materials to help them look toward a better future.
Losing a loved one is one of life's most difficult moments. CCASNJ provides financial and emotional assistance to community families during bereavement, helping to cover funeral expenses and offering community solidarity during times of grief.
This program reflects our core value of togetherness โ ensuring no community member faces loss alone. The CCASNJ family stands together in both celebration and sorrow.
Standing together as a community in moments of loss and grief.
Connecting community members to employment opportunities and free healthcare resources.
CCASNJ regularly organizes job and health fairs to guide unemployed community members into new careers and provide free medical checkups and counseling to those who cannot afford healthcare.
These events bring together employers, healthcare providers, and community members in a welcoming environment โ breaking down barriers to employment and wellness that many immigrant families face.
Each year, CCASNJ supports the community with return-to-school materials including books, learning and didactic materials, and other educational supplies โ donated to underprivileged children and students who cannot afford them, both in New Jersey and in Cameroon.
Education starts with having the right tools. By providing these materials, we remove a critical barrier that prevents many children from realizing their full potential.
Equipping students with the tools they need to learn and grow.
Celebrating Cameroonian heritage while raising funds for community causes.
Our annual conventions and cultural exhibitions are the heart of CCASNJ โ bringing together hundreds of Cameroonians and friends for music, food, traditional attire, dance, and community fundraising.
These events raise critical funds for all other CCASNJ programs while strengthening cultural identity, community bonds, and fellowship. The CCASNJ seeks to maintain and propagate the identity and cultural norms of the Cameroonian people.
Additional Programs
CCASNJ supports individuals who, due to physical disability or environmental conditions, are unable to fend for themselves. We donate food supplies and basic needs to help these individuals survive and live with dignity. We believe every person deserves care and support regardless of their physical condition.
